Been Caught Lurking in Fairytale Fog

It was foggy the other day when I was out driving (no camera) and then when I got home. I set off down the street to this long driveway to better capture it.

Love this driveway and it's long stretch and bend. I've considered doing selfies there.

And on the day I finally go over (granted it was rush hour), and I was standing halfway down it...the resident comes home and finds me creepily lurking in his yard.

I apologized, he grinned. So no foul done hopefully.

I'm wearing the hat this week @madhatters

And here is a little kick the weekend off party music that helped inspired the title: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrwjiO1MCVs

Why is it that I get away with nothing? I am always caught. What a creep!
So very atmospheric! Love the fog and snow together. And now I want to walk down that driveway (when the weather warms up, that is)! FAV

@soboy5 I do, too...wish I could figure out how to do that without being a creep. I so want to use this driveway for portraits, too. Such a neat path. I suppose I could walk up there and introduce myself and ask....

Beautiful

At first I thought this was a bike trail/jogging bath until I read your narrative. Beautiful capture and too funny about your being "caught in the act." Did you know we have a beautiful trail that winds all around Orlando now? The Seminole Co. part is only a mile from us and it's so lovely.

@linnypinny A book cover look perhaps? I'd love to photograph book covers. Thank you!

@cimes1 No I did not. What is it called? It is so embarrassing to be busted.

It is called the Cross Seminole Trail in the Seminole Co. portion. Here is the link. It is used by joggers, bikers, even horseback riders. I have some photos in my project taken during Year 1 and 2. Here is a link: http://www.seminolecountyfl.gov/parksrec/trails_streetscapes/trails_crosssem.aspx

Love Foggy views
March 6th, 2015
Love that fog... really it makes the shot. With that big smile of yours, Amanda, you could get away with anything! :-)

Gorgeous shot!

Lovely atmospheric shot... your story behind it made me laugh. That is why I can't do street shots very well... I always look like a stalker. :)

Super atmosphere

Such a wonderful fairy tale, misty path! Of course, it needed to be photographed--it's beautiful. I was out "stalking" misty landscapes, too. There was an amazing Ice sculpture dripping off someone's house but the ice was next to a window so I "chickened out" afraid the homeowner would yell at me. You are a brave photographer, Amanda!

LOVE FOG!!! This is really cool and love the creepy effect it has, you just know there is an axe murderer around that bend in the road!!! Or the owner coming home!! ROFL!! I've never got caught lurking or trespassing...yet...knock on wood!! Love this capture!! FAV!!

PS. Be glad you weren't naked when you got caught!!!

@cashew I am always caught! He seemed delighted to catch me, though.

wonderful misty feel to this... so sorry you were busted - but hey, it makes for an excellent story!
March 7th, 2015
I bet he's used to seeing you "lurk"??? Great shot.
March 7th, 2015
what a stunning shot. Getting caught was definitely worth the pic, don't worry... but if we're ever together, I ain't doing anything naughty with you! I'll do it on my own cause then I won't get caught. ;-)

Very atmospheric shot, and someones cleared that drive perfectly.
March 9th, 2015
@gailmmeek I get caught even when I am not naughty...and so rarely if I am naughty. Naughty in a group, and it's me that's busted. Always!
March 9th, 2015
@amandal i have to admit to knowing what that's like. I have one of those faces too... at school I'd often get blamed for something going on in the class, even when I wasn't even involved... just had that look of guilt written across my face I suppose! Ha!
