This was some fancy air acrobatics by a couple of the Thunderbirds at last weekend's air show.
Busy preparing for my big birthday weekend. Who am I kidding? We have no plans yet...can't even find a sitter. Last year was totally funky in that we were camping and on vacation for my birthday. I did get to eat some ice cream so that was good.
I've decided that my dream job is to be an event photographer. I come alive behind the lens at events...capturing the flavor of it. I love to people watch and events are great for that and for street shots. So so wish I could get paid to do my dream gig. I think maybe the stress of it being a job would maybe rob me of the joy. Who knows?
Update: We got a sitter! I'm going out for my birthday. Yeah!
I agree with your thoughts on pressure taking the fun out. I don't even like to tell the (not immediate) family that I like taking pictures - right away, there are so many expectations that completely change the atmosphere for me. Nice photo here!
I was going to tell you to drop the kids off at my house!!! You could really have a vacation and a few days out!!!! Glad you will be able to go have some adult time and fun too!
Love this capture!!! I could NEVER do the stunts! I can't drive worth a toot so I can't imagine being behind the wheel/bars/ whatever it is, taking control of an airplane!! Does look like fun to be a passenger and do a lot of screaming!!! FAV!
FAV. Your narrative is great and so is your shot. An event photographer would be fun. I had my first paid photo gig this week - it is much easier making money practicing law.
Totally amazing capture....just beautiful and a huge, huge fav. Lots of photo ops for event photographers in the Orlando area and so many new attractions since you left. Better move back down :-)
@amandal Well you, hubby & kids can always be snowbirds. Just need to find a quaint gulf coast cottage to while away your winter days (wishful thinking, huh?). Happy upcoming birthday!
