Cherry Pickin'

The other day, we were sitting in the shade of "Michael," our crab apple tree that Emily named after her dad for some reason. The real Michael is not often a crab.

Anyway, I wasn't feeling great, I had stayed home from work and was nursing a headache, but it was nice to be outside and lazy with the kids.

There were all of these berries on the ground under the tree that had fallen off. Cherry looking berries. So we gathered them in buckets and were cherry pickers.

It was a fun relaxing way to hang with my kids in the shade.

Here is Emily with some of her "cherry" score. It reminded me of the game Heigh-Ho-Cherry-Oh, which I thought was a stupid game, truth be told.
