It's only out occasionally in the winter, as we are often gray and miserable. But oh, when it shines, it just brings light to my life and heart.
I grew up in sunshiney places, I am from the sunshine state after all. So it's what I know.
On the morning of this recent sunrise, I was foolish and took loads of photos and hurt my eye (hopefully not terribly or permanently, but I felt pretty foolish afterward). I was enjoying it too much. Perhaps I need a new camera that I don't have to look through the view finder for photos. Or maybe I need to avoid shooting the sun that I love.
Ouch, I hope your eye will be alright. I think you're the first photographer I know who injured their eye by shooting too many photos! This is wonderful though, you've captured the bleakness and sun at the same time.
A very cool fav for me (and, yes, I've done the same thing...thought I was in the right spot to shoot the sun through the trees and then moved the wrong way - full sun and ouch!)
