After the Rains

The irises are watery, like crying eyes.

But they are happy to be watered, happy for the sunshine and that they can finally see the light again.

So happy that it is their time of year once again. Even for just a moment.

I got to prejudge a camera club's yearly digital images yesterday. One of the topics included two flower photos. One was of an iris and it wasn't that well done I remembered some of the fantastic iris photos I have come across on the Project. This is another one that would have advanced in my prejudging. FAV!
