Peace Man by alophoto

Peace Man

A year ago today, I was gearing up to go to Juarez, Mexico with an awesome group of high school seniors to meet and serve these amazing people.

They liked us visiting and giving them hamburgesas and playing with them.

It was a life changing time for all of us.

Today, a new crew is heading out. Praying for their time that it will be as life and perspective changing as ours was.
Such a cute picture and a wonderful thing to do, Amanda.

Interesting to see their clothing and their faces, all looking expectant! They will all be one year older now!

While I was gone from 365, you came to my area of the world! I grew up 40 miles from Juarez. I've taught several students from Juarez throughout the years. Many moved to the US to escape gang violence. It's really sad how Juarez has changed in that respect since I first visited it as a child.

@janeandcharlie Do you know of Maria and Jesus Ruiz and their ministry there? It's called JEM Ministries. It's pretty awesome. Are you in El Paso?

@alophoto No, I don't know the Ruizes, but they sound wonderful. We are in Albuquerque but grew up in Las Cruces, 40 miles from El Paso/Juarez.
