This is the Roebling Bridge that connects downtown Cincinnati to Covington, Kentucky and spans the Ohio River. It's designed by the same person and the precursor to the Brooklyn Bridge. This one began construction in 1865. I've walked across both.
John Roebling is the statue who is seeming to say, "Ta da...lookie what I did here!"
It's also known as the Singing bridge as the bottom is metal and sounds like music when cars cross...it sings.
Thanks for all of your great comments on my photos. Always so kind.
My next selfie will be my 365th?! As in I've posted 364 selfies throughout the course of my project. Wowie!
@alophoto Wow! You got a gorgeous bridge!!! Mine are not NEARLY as pretty! But today being Feb 1, and mini tax season is over, hopefully I can get some posted!!!
Are you ready to start the color theme? Was it art and color?
Beautiful bridge. Have you been to the Newport Aquarium? It's right across the river from the Reds' stadium. Best aquarium we've ever been to (and we've been to a bunch).
Having worked for 15 years with high school students with many challenges, it so touches my heart! I bet I've seen it 20+ times and I still cry at the same parts!
@shesnapped As I couldn't decide, I posted a collage of my faves. Can I see your bridge already...and when do we start our new color theme?!
