Watching the River Pass Her By

Loved this shadowy scene from my recent river walk.

I thought b&w suited it.
Gorgeous b&w

What a feast for the eyes.

Hey, do you know about the Dogwood photography challenge? I'm doing it this year and really like the community.

@squamloon No, I don't. I've heard mention of it, but don't know what it is.

@alophoto It was started three years ago by a guy named Dale who has a studio called Dogwood Photography. There are people in here who follow the weekly challenges and tag their shots accordingly, but for me the best part has been the inspiration of their Facebook "chatter" group. I also like that people do the challenge however they see fit—taking the shots ofr each week within the year, but not necessarily right in the week. And they're all good challenges, with a nice rhythm. https://dogwood.photography/52weekchallenge2018.html

Nice capture of how the curved pergola design mimics the flow of water in the river. So riveting when design echoes nature. Lovely, suble capture of a beautifil scene.
