We went to check out a nearby state park this week and discovered there was a collegiate crew regatta going on. I'd never seen crew in person before.
It was a perfectly gorgeous day for the event and a wonderful day to be out at the park and enjoying the lakeside beach.
There was even a food truck there that served one of our favorite foods from California that we rarely see out here...tritip.
The flag here was to indicate the end of the race. It was cool to see the teams go all out here in their final meters and then interesting to see how spent they were when they were done, some just slumped over in their boat.
The next day when I went to the gym, I chose to do rowing for my cardio. Golly am I slow compared to these athletes!
What a great photo. You were in the perfect place for the finish. I had to look up tri tip. I am certain if you had three other team members helping you that you would be just as fast as they are too.
