Mini Pine Cones Held by my Mini Me

Last weekend, it was beautiful albeit windy out and I decided we needed an afternoon hike.

The girls and I headed over to my old hood where I still love to go for an occasional run. It still feels like home there.

Clara went into the bushes and collected a pile of these adorable pine cones.

Unfortunately, she also collected a pile of burrs all over her clothes and we had to take several breaks to pick them all off her.

Before throwing the cones in the lake, she gave me a minute for photos.

It was a good walk and so pretty to see some early fall color coming out. We're late this year.
