I look, feel and sound awful with a bad cold. I got all ready and really tried to make it in, but in the end after a huge painful coughing fit, I decided that I wouldn't be very effective and that being around customers and coworkers probably wouldn't be in anyone's best interest.
They've been guilting us so much lately about not calling in-how we are needed for our shifts.
This was the first time I've ever had to do so for myself.
Hope that a down day with lots of rest, fluids and staying inside out of the cold rain will help me be well for the rest of the week.
I work tomorrow, Black Friday and Saturday and am hosting Thanksgiving. A busy, busy week ahead!
So back to Paris with this shot. Taken inside Notre Dame. If you look carefully (perhaps large on black), there is a woman praying in the center bottom of the screen. I got a reproachful look from a stranger for taking this shot as photography was not allowed inside this area...but I took it from outside so it seemed ok to me.
Exquisite, such a storied Cathedral. You are smart to stay home and not expose others to your cold. I hope the day of rest is just what your body needs
Beautiful capture and the woman praying adds to the spiritual feel of this photo...Amanda, you remind me of my nieces who are such hard workers in both of their jobs and with their families. I hope you get well enough to go to work and do your Thanksgiving dinner.
Love the stained glass... it really sets a sacred atmosphere! I had been to Notre Dame when I was in high school... am getting old... forgotten its beauty. Feel better!
We went to Target today, and I thought of you home sick :(
This is so stunning, especially viewed on the black background. You really hit the photography jackpot in France.

I hope you are already feeling better for your very busy week ahead
