Yesterday, I was offered and accepted a job in our local school district. It's where my kids attend and where both my mother and sister work. It will be at my mother's school even, so when she comes back from her leave of absence, we'll be coworkers!!!
I will be doing the same thing I'm currently doing, a special Ed para pro, but with younger kids. Physically this will be easier on my body. There have been times recently that I wasn't sure my body could take much more. I've been working with an adult student.
Only 10 minutes from home rather than across town.
Same schedule as my kids!!
I've wanted to work in our district since we moved to town 7 years ago.
