This marks her 20th Christmas. Last year, we vowed this would be the last. She's become more and more decrepit and worn over the years. Her limbs sag, she stopped rotating maybe 15 years ago, the lights burned out and this year a limb or two fell off and Mike had to zip tie them on.
On Christmas Eve, I always struggle to sleep, so excited to bless the kids in the morning.
So I sit here and spend a few moments with our sweet old tree on her last Christmas Eve. As much work as it is, she still cleans up nice.
Merry Christmas to you and your family Amanda. It must be bittersweet to get rid of a tree you’ve had for so long. It’s a beautiful photo of it and a lasting memory for you.
