I took a walk during lunch, along the canal down to the Thames at Wapping, it was a chance to escape the hum drum of work for half an hour or so.
Noticed these Roman numerals carved into the wall under a bridge along the tow path... I guess they indicate height from the canal bed through to bridge level...
