The strange thing is, I didn't notice this little boy seemingly trapped in his car on this ferris wheel when I took this photo!..
Today, an old friend of my girlfriend visited from Calcutta, he was in the UK for a couple of days so we had a whislte stop tour of London and the surrounding area. Took this snap in Southend.
That is a tremendous shot. Isn't it amazing when you find more in the photo than you saw when you took the shot, and what you find really "makes" the shot? Is that night fall or clouds? Either way, really fabulous.
I love your composition and the perspective to the top of the ferris wheel, as though you're somehow across from the top of it. Think of the stories you could make up about "the boy in the cage"!
Thanks for all your great comments guys - Louise, you're right, I should of named this "The boy in a cage"... great title :-)... I was on a walkway roughly level with the top, but as there was so much going on below, I thought only to take a snap of the top of the wheel...and William, yeah, I was sure the wheel was empty when I took the pic... maybe it really was and the boy wasn't really there.....lol.... spooky!!!! Was taken late afternoon - I darkened the sky just a little in picassa..
