Barges and Waste by andycoleborn

Barges and Waste

Took a walk down to the Thames near Rainham to pass an hour as I had a meeting to attend this evening.

This pipe carries waste water far out into the Thames, hopefully it's not too polluting..!! The barges behind are made of concrete and were used in the D-Day landings. They now act as a defence against flooding at high tides.

Strange how such ugly man made things like this can look quite pleasant when the sun shines :-)

Two days to the election. Thank God... Getting fed up with all this politicking now...
i like the angle this photo was taken at. great lines and contrast.

Wow it looks like it goes on forever (tho Im still not for dumping our waste in the ocean)- the perspective is very effective and I like the light in the sky too.

You get to walk by the most beautiful places (even the ugly ones.) Thought you might be interested in this: http://mudsweatbadges.co.uk/2010/04/23/behind-the-scenes-at-a-premiership-training-complex/
I told you my husband and I think of you whenever we see "Portsmouth" now.
