Day 3 and we went on a cruise along Lake Windermere from Bowness to Lakeside where we caught an old steam train for a little trip through the woods. Gave the first return train a miss and scoffed a delish cream tea - the family we were with had never had one before!!!!!!!!!!
Took some good snaps but really like this one of Sangeeta hanging out the window with me hanging out the window in front. I like the way the rain and steam from the engine has been captured here. I think this might be my favorite pic of the whole holiday...
After catching the boat back we caught a ferry across the lake and wandered through the woods to an derelict house atop a hill. Very hot and sweaty in the woods. Although it had stopped raining, it was cloudy and very humid and completely windless in amongst the trees.
We are also in the lake District on a few days break, we are in Kendal, heading to Windermere tomorrow :o)
