Second day of the Durga Puja festival so after work, we headed to Camden Town for one of London's largest festivals. Very colourful and loud. Lots of people milling about, dancing, high spirits and good fun.
The priest was performing various acts, chants and readings in sanskrit, whilst his helpers were performing blessings on those approaching the dias.
Each touched lightly on the forehead, seemingly satisfied...
Elsewhere, drummers were beating an ever increasing rhythm that saw people dance faster and faster until they could take no more, there place immediately taken by another.
Eventually, Sangeeta was pulled up and took her turn...I managed to avoid being picked on :-)
After eating, we headed to another puja in North London, and another chance to eat!!!
