Not sure whether I'm alone in feeling that the cold dark nights are making it increasingly difficult to find something to take. Unlike summer, I really don't want to stay out long looking for a photo.
Hence the number of similar posts of Canary Wharf and the city at night.. So once again, after work I walked down to Liverpool Street station looking for something that might catch my eye. Finally spotted a small waterfall outside Broadgate, a large office complex and decided to try some long exposure shots.
This was a 2 second exposure with the camera resting on the ground. Am quite pleased with this, although there was some unsightly brickwork at the top of the image that I removed via my home-made post processing... Without having anything decent at home, I cropped the image then in picassa, turned it into a single photo collage with a black background... Works farily well..
@rich57 I learnt from the master of ground-tripod shots lol... spotted a bench shot opportunity after I took this - have stored for another day :-) @seattle Soon will be freezing... just seen the wether and going to get cooooold next few days... Brrrr....
Super shot taken from an unusual angle. And NO you're not alone in finding these short days tough for getting shots. Neat trick using Picasa, but I'm sure you're aware that GIMP is good and FREE!
yea mate really neat. Like the black black ground edit you did. Hear you on the night time stuff. Especially when you have to take the picture for long exposure and wait 30 secs to see the result. Long.
I too have been finding it a challenge but then I think, hey I started this in January and I don't remember it being this hard then....mmmmmm. Think we just need to get into the swing of winter again
