I knew my photos would suffer this weekend, well especially on Saturday, as I was really busy cooking an early Christmas dinner for some of our friends and their relatives over from Calcutta and who were about to return.
So it was up earlyish and down to the shops to get the food , leaving Sangeeta at home cleaning. Then the reat of the afternoon was spent preparing lamb and chicken and loads and loads of veg...
Amazing how long it takes to prepare and cook and how little time it takes to eat..
We were a little worried the guests from Indian might find traditional roast dinners a little bland so I made sure everthing was highly flavoured - lamb marinated in mint, garlic and rosemary; chicken with lemon and garlic butter. Tats with cumin and corriander and the parsnips in a honey/mustard dressing.
I need not have worried - everything was scoffed, and everyone had second helpings...
Oh - this is a rose from a bunch of flowers I'd bought for Sangeeta who passed her Prince 2 Pactitioner exams earlier in the week...
@Cherrill ha ha... blush :-)...
