Was woken this morning by my mate texting me to say Pompey's game had be called off because of snow in Hampshire.. Oh well, least I can grab some more Zzzz's... 10 minutes later my Dad calls to let me know the game's off because of the snow in Hampshire...!!
Oh well... may as well get up!
Around lunchtime the snow hit London - about half a foot fell in an hour.
With no game to go to, it means I wan't get to see my parents and drop their presents off until after Christmas.. Shame, but am due down (weather permitting) on Boxing Day.
Decided to walk the hour or so to the local shopping centre in the afternoon. Saw 6 crashes on the way!!! First one was about a minute from my flat when a car slid into a metal bollard (Bollards!! I was tempted to shout...lol).. The last a lorry that had spun 180 degrees, mounting the pavement and ending up in someone's front garden... Glad I decided to walk today.
Was really nice walking in fresh snow, that satisfying crunch under foot.
Walked past this flint wall and thought the snow and sky made a nice contrast. Tried B&W but much prefer the colour the sky gives the photo.
@cirasj Cheers Joe... You're not wrong... years with just the odd flake here or there then 2 years running we've had lots... very unusual for southern england
Nice simple shot and good story to go with it. I made a point of staying indoors all day. It was bad enough taking today's shot from my living room window; I was getting pelted by the blizzard.
I find walking when the cars are going out of control a bit uneasy! Fear of hitting me! Crazy weather... Nice shot... Really like the texture and color was a good choice.
Fab photo three different textures really nice
