So, this will be my last photo taken at Canary Wharf until next year! Sounds like a long time but I'll no doubt be back here in a fortnight when I'm once again struggling for something to take.
Last day tomorrow, hope to get away about noon then a nice long break and not back until 5 January... Can't wait for a bit of R and R...
The area seen here is South Quay, on the Isle of Dogs like the rest of Canary Wharf, but not actually part of the main business side of things. This area is a mixture of offices, fancy flats and dockside apartments and hotels.
Of course, it all looked so different when the IRA blew this area up in 1992. My office was 100 feet away and suffered quite a bit of damage... Took about a year before we moved back in...
Good and quiet day in work, not many people in so I had the peace and quiet needed to redesign the layout of our newsletter... should get it finished tomorrow if I concentrate for a few hours and not distracted by games and offers of a tipple in my coffee :-)
Absolutely amazing....the picture and the difficulties that you went through with your place of work. The golden color is just wonderful. ENJOY your time off...and take lots of pictures! hehe!
