King Henry's Wharf by andycoleborn

King Henry's Wharf

Think I've overcooked the processing here... I was messing about with photoshop during a quiet 10 minutes in work attempting a vintage look.

This is King Henry's Wharf in Wapping.

The docks were once one the largest and busiest in the World, bringing in good from all over the Empire... The names of many docks and warehouses reflect the product or area the ships arrived from. Hence names such as East India Docks, West India Docks plus wonderful names such as Cinnamon Wharf, Tea Wharf, Spice Wharf, Vanilla & Sesame Court, Ginger Wharf and so on and so on...

As to what was imported via King Henry's Wharf... I haven't a clue...

After the docks closed, these building stood empty for many years up until the property boom of the 1980's... They now sell for £millions....

Onto other news and it looks like I'll have to wait for my 50mm lens - Seems it was some dodgy fake site! Money has been returned via ebay/paypal..
this is excellent andy. i really like the processing, the vintage look really works.

Just a friendly reminder to check the 29th Jan London Meet thread, as I'm trying to confirm who's coming/not now it's only three weeks away, and swap contact details, and that. If you could pop over to http://365project.org/discuss/general/2340/a-london-meet-any-interest and email me, or reply that you're no longer up for it, that'd be reet grand!
