Suppose I've got to get to grips with the manual focus lark on my new 50mm lens so I expect to bore everyone rigid over the next week or so with various experiments shot mainly inside my flat.
I'll still carry a camera around with me in case I come across something interesting, get bored and fancy a day off from the 50mm or have the urge to photograph the wharf (which is very likely...)
Must admit it's bloody tricky trying to get this right, especially in fairly crappy lighting conditions, but in the end I managed a few decent shots... First load were a little grainy, but then realised I'd set the ISO to 2500 for some unknown reason!!
Anyhow... here's my bike... safely tucked up in my spare bedroom for the winter awaiting warmer and sunnier days (like the rest of us....)..
Onto other news and the tube workers plan to strike on the day of the royal wedding.. Just as they did on Boxing Day! Don't you just love our highly paid train drivers!!! Not that it worries me.. They've given us the day off work and I won't be bothering watching it...
50mm lenses are great! Hope you have fun viewing the world through your glass for the next week.
It's so interesting seeing the seasons change everyone's pictures. So glad I'm through the cold, dark winter... hope you get some sunshine too :)
thanks guys... @rich57 It's a fair weather bike... like it's fair weather owner :-).... So, you giving up the trains and cycling to London? @canberrabec Slowly getting there... can't wait til we're through the cold dark days :-)
I feel asleep reading this, was very bored ;). I started to read your caption to my wife and said that I should have read it in a British accent and not my New England accent.
Most of my shots lately have been with my 50mm. Love it. You are getting some great sharp shots. This is great with an ISO of 1000. I know you will love this and it is so light weight to carry around! Keep them coming.
thanks guys :-) @steveh ha ha... can't moan about the bin men here, collected every week despite the snow and christmas break... @andifree Mmm maybe, buy then most people can take or leave the royal family, but as for the extra day off... yeah, love em :-) @cirasj ha ha, I use to have a southern 'country' accent but lost it when I moved to London 20 or so years ago... would probably say I have no speific English accent whereby you could point to where in the UK I was from... although after a few beers my accent returns lol

On another note , Train drivers sound a bit like Bin men all overpaid and militant
