Open Up

Well I've not seen this before... Tower Bridge opening up to allow a tall boat through...

It was in fact a really quick and smooth operation, all over in a few minutes.. I took a few shots as the bridge opened, but just the sides reached their high point, a river taxi pulled into shot and waited.. bit of a shame..

The boat coming through is a Mississippi style party boat and wasn't that big, but maybe the tide was high meaning it was unable to navigate under the bridge without the road being raised..
