Time For Tea by andycoleborn

Time For Tea

Come on... If you're gonna sport pink hair, wear reddish leather boots, wear some strange old skirt and stand outside an odd looking shop then someone will take your photo..!!

The sign on the door says open... But I think not..
The fake blue plaque says "Lady Celeste Cuminary lives here".. Hmmm
Like the watering can and dead plant...

Had to spend a couple of hours in and around Brick Lane / Shoreditch today on work related photography business... Bit of a result :-)
:D haaa, great shot. BTW I think this odd skirt is actually trousers :P

How could Time For Tea be open when there are no hands on the clock above the store to tell it what time it is! Love this shot.

Now that's what I call work!! Fab shot but I tihnk you're being a bit ungenerous with that skirt - I like it. I wouldn't wear it but I like it. I think the tea may be a bit stewed...

No question about it: if you want to give free rein (haha - I almost spelled this with a "g" , as in REIGN) to your eccentricities you have to live in England. Great shot.

The piles of garbage on the side add to the low brow look. Great study in urbanity

That is a very colorful lady...great for picture taking! Maybe she's looking for a job and is reading the HIRE sign!

nice street capture.

Great street catch. Amused (as I often am) by the street naming; "shoreditch high" seems a bit oxymoronic and yet quite quaint. In a city full of numbered streets I love a well named street. Nice shot, lots to look at.

@shantwin thanks shannon... most towns here have a high street, the main street of the town, years ago shoreditch would have been a town (village) on the outskirts of London but as London grew, it swallowed up all the surrounding towns... I bet if you searched, there's dozens of high street's all over London..
@azza_l My thoughts exactly...
@sparkle haha... only sometimes can I justify a photowalkon works time... good tho when I can :-)

November 20th, 2011
Yeah, my husband's office was nearby. I just spent 10 minutes on google looking for its origin and no luck. The mystery remains :)
