Overnight the UK was hit by another huge storm with 80+mph winds and tons more rain...
I was expecting trouble driving to Hampshire to watch Pompey but apart from the QEII bridge being closed due to high winds, the drive down was fine and surprise, surprise, Pompey won a game..!!
Going to my mum's after the game I had to do an emergency stop and something went clank with my car and I've lost all power and revs... No idea what it is but I haven't got any acceleration, struggle to get over 40mph and when idling, the car sounds like it's chugging like crazy... More money needed to fix...

Yes indeed. Spent many happy days at Stokes Bay, and worked on HMS Victory as a Saturday job (in the souvenir shop which used to be on board). Mum later moved to Shedfield, near Fareham., though she's moved again now. Small world!
