Bees, Butterflies & Beardtongues, BFFs

I belive this is a Penstemon (or Beardtongue) plant. Despite a summer of heatwaves it has flourished. It has nurtured visiting bees and butterflies, and been a constant of vibrant colour in our garden when everything else turned brown 🫶

It is indeed a penstemon and very pretty. We have some in our garden… I like its other name, new to me.

Nature really is amazing, especially seeing what can survive such drought conditions. 🌸 This flower is absolutely beautiful—fingers crossed it reappears next year! 💕
