A Stroll into Stockport

I see this view, which is rather grey and uneventful, every time I stroll into Stockport. I didn’t know how to make it interesting so I have edited the image in Snapseed using the HDR style.
Do you think it looks over processed?
It's an interesting debate, and much of it is down to personal taste. For me this is instantly recognisable as an HDR shot and it's a style I am not that fond of for most circumstances, but it does have its place in the tool book. It's always good to experiment, anyway.

@peadar I completely agree with you Peter... I never use this style and as you say, it’s good to experiment...thank you for stopping by and your kind words

it enhances the fine detail here, i find even the jpg images that come from my camera i prefer to edit because they flatten out the contrasts so much, but i have an hdr function on my camera i have used from time to time , it can be done tastefully, and as you say sometimes it makes a blah scene more interesting.

Well it certainly isn’t grey! In this instance it has made it look more appealing I would say. I have used HDR & don’t mind it. I quite like this.

@kali66 Thank you for the kind comment...not sure I’ll use HDR again...it scares the pants off me

@carole_sandford Yes I agree with you Carole, it doesn’t look grey, and thank you for your kind comment...I found using HDR quite scary, I guess it’s a case of practice makes perfect...

I like it. I am not a big fan of HDR, especially when it is 'over-cooked' so to speak, but this one is just right.

@onewing Thanks Babs...the scene admittedly is nothing special and I wanted it see if the HDR treatment helped...

I like it...lovely lighting in the water. I hardly ever use HDR...usually too much detail. I like soft instead but still colorful. :)
