Lockdown travel dreams

Even Tasmania seems a long way away. The Spirit of Tasmania ferry at Station Pier Port Melbourne.

Very much want to visit Tasmania. How long the ferry take to reach Tasmania? I like the human figure in this, it goes with the word "dream"

From Station Pier to Devonport across Bass Strait usually overnight, leaving around 7pm and arriving into Devonport about 6am the next morning. Same in reverse. Spirit 1 and Spirit 2 pass each overnight in Bass Strait. It's a great trip. Quicker to fly, of course, but I love the ferry.

Great capture. Cruise lines are trying to find out when things will reopen here in Canada

Tasmania's borders not closed. But people from Melbourne locked down when I took this photo and there's still a degree of uncertainty. @leggzy

This is a regular ferry route to Tasmania for freight and people, not so much a cruise line. @bkbinthecity
