15 metre high wind powered sculpture by Duncan Stemler, located in Docklands park South. The armature and cups are designed to interact with each other to catch the wind like an anemometer on the top of a yacht's mast. Each cup/arm/hub is designed to spin clockwise or anti-clockwise depending on the wind's direction and strength. In profile it's also designed to be reminiscent of Aboriginal dot painting.
What a gorgeous sculpture! Aboriginal art is evident, as well as the cups on a yacht's mast! It really is quite captivating, and kudos to the artist who designed this!
