Waxwings (Bombycilla garrulus) came again for the hawthorn berries. We don't have the bird-tables yet, as we have no snow. But our hawthorn tree was waiting for the waxwings. I can watch them through the window. They are more skilful at taking these big berries from the tree than the blackbirds. The blackbirds tend to drop the berry to the ground.
This is such a lovely shot, it looks like it should be on a greeting card

What a brilliant capture Anneli!
We have birds feeders already even just now snow has gone but i want keep them specially for bullfinches, I love to see them on the backyard :)
