ready to burst b&w by annied

ready to burst b&w

As soon as I saw this bursting bud in the garden I thought of Miss Sam @gigiflower - in colour of course - but I know she is dabbling in b&w - I could not decide which I liked best but I think it is this one.
I will post the colour version as well forthwith LOL

Annie, this just jumped out at me! I think it could actually be a great addition to the blured techinque challenge (technique36 is the tag). So otherworldly!

@darylo thank you so much Daryl - I tagged it and will look further into the challenge

Oooh I like it in b&w, so moody.

The two shots give such a different feel. this one is so dramatic, love it.
January 5th, 2015
@dibzgreasley @onewing the contrast between the two was quite marked - I was surprised - I love the drama in this too

Well, well, well - this is FABULOUS too!! My B&W genes are getting all very excited when I see this! The colour of course is my favourite (just)......but this is very, very nice too! Ooooohh Ms Annie you are SO clever :) xx

Both are lovely, but the B&w is more dramatic

This is stunning. I think I prefer this b&w version.
January 5th, 2015
@aikiuser @pixelchix @thresheg @salza
thanks guys - the b&w does have drama
January 5th, 2015
Some how I think this has an edge over the colour version ! instead of admiring the colour the expectation and drama of the bursting open of the flower head is more profound !
January 5th, 2015
I am not one who favours b&w shots but have to agree that sometimes certain shots come out better in b&w. I like this one.
January 5th, 2015
@sangwann thank you Dione it does lend itself to b&w
@beryl yes that is it Beryl - the colours distract from the impending bloom
