an ocean of thoughts
a land full of dreams
far away promises
lost on the waves
as they crash
on the rocks
the spray floats free
for those dreams and promises
released to the wind
to be caught in the next life
a promise believed
@annied My first thought is thuswards: Why did I miss this one?
My second thought is this way: Very cool processing/edit. I always struggle a bit bringing two separate elements together (like the sea and the land in this shot, or the land and the sky in my recent "selfies") while keeping in natural looking.
Third thoughtiness: I like that this has an abstract feel to it (to me) - I'm enjoying the waves themselves, very cool, almost have a neon quality about them...if that makes sense to anyone but me.
Fourth thinking: I hope at least some of that makes some kind sense.
@graemestevens
Firstly - you missed it because I only just posted it - hahaha - I was at the waves today - and your beach shots were in my thoughts - I am a bit behind thus the date
Secondly - it makes perfect sense - which is actually a tad scary :)
Waves, faves. I viewed it on black, hoping I could give it a second fav. This is superbly fantastic Ms Annie. I especially like the brightness the foreground produces. Love your processing.
@olivetreeann thank you Ann and funny you should say that - a poem is swirling in my head but not quite there - I was nearly going to leave posting it until the words came but I couldn't wait :)
@annied It's lovely and full of hope which I think the lighting in the wave has too. I see this often in your poems and understand the emotion. Though not the same as a spouse, I deeply miss my parents (mom-many years ago; dad a few years ago). I do believe I will "see" them again though. Some days the ache of not seeing them here is stronger, but your poem captures that and the hope of things to come. Thanks for writing it!
@olivetreeann you're welcome I am pleased you can connect with it and understand the emotion - you will indeed see them again - I believe they are with you and watching over you
@sketch2 thank you - and for the follow - I laughed at your red card - sin bin comment - I and many others would be there with you - I actually managed it in the first year - no idea how - now I go with the flow - post every day but combine old and new images
