remember to check your settings by annied

remember to check your settings

In my main album this month I am joining Sam @gigiflower and shooting Manual May.
This is a reminder to check your settings hahaha- taken in the taxi on the way to hotel - I do like it though :)
Once I had my screwed up for a whole day trip. But managed to salvage some cool shots. This is cool!

@gigiflower a bit too much white?
May 7th, 2017
@gigiflower I would like to have had the hills in the background more distinct

@alophoto yes sometimes even faffing in PS can't help :)

@annied See, I'm so hopeless with settings that I thought the sky was just cloudy/hazy, made even worse because you are taking it thru a window. You are being way too hard on yourself!

@annied And I thought the POV was great - I didn't even consider that you would want the hills to be more distinct!!! HAHAHA

@gigiflower hahahaha I like the PoV too - and I do like blown out as well - but I would have changed settings a bit - maybe

@annied Oh and another thing - you are in a moving car for goodness sake (in a new city)............WAY to hard on yourself.

Hate when my camera laughs at me with its sense of humor, yours however treated you most kindly- I like the over blown sky, makes me feel as everyone is going towards the light.

@joysabin mine has laughed at me often

I like the effect and the composition.
My camera has an evil giggle.......

Sometimes "off" settings make a wonderful image!

I like the overall kind of big U shape!

Two crops to give two images: left third and right third so you lose the over-exposed centre, then a high contrast b/w conversion....no?

@yrhenwr hahahaha no....I shall leave it
