Wintry showers

One of the two places we didn't eat today in Grange-over-Sand. The first, The Netherwood, was full, and the second (this) Clare House was closed for winter refurbishment. Ate at Abbott Hall with lovely butternut squash soup and traybakes - but not so photogenic because of the ... wintry showers
Love the large monkey puzzle tree, I have always loved these trees right from being a small child.

@shirleybankfarm I agree - always a real delight to see one

Doesn't look wintery with those lovely whispy white clouds and blue skies. Looks like a gorgeous day

Thanks for the follow. You must have picked a gap in the weather. Looks posh; does the food match the venue when it is open?

@paulmann I like to see different parts of the country! it really was showers - lovely for a while (if you were out of the wind) and then beating hail and bits of trees dropping off! We've only had afternoon tea here before, but that was lovely :-)
