went to a talk by the Grasmere History Society on the occasion of the publication of its book: Grasmere in 55+1/2 Buildings. The house under discussion dates from the seventeenth century and has a fire house, a down house, an attached byre, a bracken barn, a bank barn, a hen house and a pigsty!
