i saw a photo of these 5 little teapots when looking for a victorian teapot online for my sister in the old country. i thought this should be easy.😜
well, it is if you know what you're doing. although i did this in only thirty minutes, i'm not very impressed with my shading. i'm happy with the red and purple but no, i didn't get the other three. need more practice. i used wet on wet.
@summerfield I am so impressed they are all the same size! Mine would have been 5 different sizes. Perhaps if you go back with more water on the orange one and tap it with a tissue it will blend a little better but the rest of them look terrific to me
Lovely teapots, the suggestion Katy is making could work…..although I’ve never tried working an already dried painting. I’m definitely going to try them as soon as I’m home.
What a cool subject. I like the shapes, colours and lighting. Katy's suggestion sounds like the best option but like Jacqueline not sure if it is possible on a ready dried painting. @summerfield
@summerfield Way too cute! I'm not sure why aren't you happy with the shading. The highlights and shadows on the pots are spot on! A little less on the blue one, which could easily be fixed with just a darker stroke on the right side, if you really wish. But I would not touch it. And I only talk about this because of your note that you are not happy with the shading. I love these! Colourful miniature drawings are always an eye candy.
