Once again I'm grabbing my Tair-11... It's an excellent lens for portrait photography (according to various reviews on the interwebs), so I thought I'd give it a go… Hubby wasn't home, so I ended up taking a few shots of one of our Turkish Van cats - her name is Sil and she is very gentle and patient. She was sitting outside in our cat enclosure, curiously watching me while I took a few shots of her... Since she was on the inside of the enclosure and I was on the outside, I had to photograph her through the wires which is the reason for the stripey effect around her.
That's a beautiful cat. I like the way you can see the wires ever so slightly -- it says something about her. What lovely eyes she has, and a coat, really very like my Wanda who I posted today. (Wanda is not a special kind of cat, except one that found us seven years ago and knows how to live in a house with 13 dogs!)
@pamgleason Wanda is indeed a special kind of cat - she's absolutely gorgeous (I've always had a huge soft spot for tortoiseshell coloured cats). A cat managing to coexist with 13 dogs surely is an amazing cat! And she's lucky to have found a loving home with you and your family. Thanks for sharing this - it brought a smile on my face (as did looking at the photo of your beautiful Wanda - https://365project.org/pamgleason/365/2018-01-25 ).
@atchoo Thank you! I think I will show Wanda a picture of your cat, so she can see that there are other cats with long beautiful coats like hers! Our other cats are short haired -- we do have another calico, also. Thank you so much for the kind comments!
nice portrait
