My husband has just built a couple of raised garden beds in our garden, and a few days ago we planted various herbs and salads in the beds. Today we noticed that the Rucola seeds have already started sprouting.
The first time I tasted Rucola salad I didn't like it - not at all - so I avidly avoided it for years... but then in 2007 I traveled to Australia with a friend, and on one of the first days we spent in Sydney we sat down at a nice pizza restaurant on Circular Quay (right next to the Opera House). For some reason I ended up ordering a pizza that had rucola on it. I thought it tasted great and I have loved rucola salad ever since.
And now I'm looking forward to making myself a home made pizza Sydney style with rucola on it :-)...
