Usually one of the first things I do in the morning is to take a quick and secret peak though the blinds in our master bathroom to see how things are in the pigeons nest. Yesterday everything was fine, the young ones were fine… but today… the nest is empty and all that is left is a few feathers... I'm sure the young birds were not fully grown and ready to leave the nest, so this can only mean one thing... something killed them/chased them away. I know that this is just a part of natures ways, but it still makes me feel sad. I will miss being able to follow these birds...
Well - maybe next year...
