Last rays of the afternoon sun hitting the purple leaves of the European smoketree in our garden.
The European smoketree (in Latin "Cotinus coggygria", in Danish "Parykbusk" is a multiple-branching treelike shrup able to grow to 5-7 meters tall. We have a medium sized one in our garden, and I really like the deep purple coloured leaves on it - and in a few weeks time it will be covered with tiny yellow flowers.
