My favorite carrot buns

Today is my birthday… so I'm making carrot buns based on my own recipe, they are sweet and deliciously fluffy - and tastes great when cut in half and served with a bit of cooled butter on top :-) Yum!.

Recipe for Ann's carrot buns:

INGREDIENTS
50 grams fresh yeast
2½ deciliter lukewarm milk
1 large egg
60 grams sugar
330 grams roughly grated carrot
60 grams sunflower seeds
100 grams melted butter
7 grams salt
750-800 grams flour

STEPS
1. In a large bowl, mix together the lukewarm milk and the yeast.
2. Add the egg, sugar, grated carrot, sunflower seeds, melted butter and salt.
3. Add flour and knead until smooth and elastic - the dough should still be a bit sticky for best result.
4. Place the dough back in the bowl and cover with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about one hour.
5. Punch down dough and divide into 16 equally sized portions.
6. Shape each portion into a ball and place on greased baking sheets (not too close since the buns will rise quite a bit).
7. Cover the buns with kitchen towels and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about one hour.
8. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celcius (convection).
9. Bake the buns for about 13 minutes and let them cool.

Happy Birthday, have a great day. Buns look delicious, I'll to give them a try.
