Like butterfly wings…

Our arugula salad plants are blooming, and the petals look almost like tiny butterfly wings with their dark veins... tiny but beautiful - I really like them - and from what I can tell the bees and the hover flies really like them very much as well :-).

In real life the flowers are a bright lemony yellow colour, but I desaturated the colours a bit to make the dark veins stand out a bit more, and if you are wondering where the stem is at, then I stuck this single flower to our kitchen table top with a tiny piece of chewing gum - it's just a bit of photographer's troubleshooting, right? :-).

Gear used: Olympus OM-D E-M5 + Olympus MMF-3 Four Thirds adapter + Olympus Zuiko f3.5/35mm Macro.
A great and interesting shot of this tiny flower. Fav

A lovely image and an interesting sounding plant, anything attractive to insects is attractive to me and my chaotic insect friendly jungle.
