The beacon

An early morning shot of one of the beacons along the shores of the Limfjord.
I took this photo using the Lensbaby Pinhole/Zone Plate Optic. I must admit, that I very rarely use this optic, but today I decided to give it a go.

The Lensbaby Pinhole/Zone Plate Optic is a funny little thing, and not really a lens - at least if you expect a lens to have a piece of glass in it. The optic really just consists of two tiny holes and a switch to let you choose which one to use. The aperture for the pinhole is f177, and the aperture for the zone plate is f19 (the Zone Plate has a tiny transparent foil with small black rings that covers the hole), so they are both very, very small. For this photo I used the Zone Plate.

For some reason I always choose the other Lensbaby lenses or optics, and the Pinhole/Zone Plate always ends up being the wallflower.
Note to self: Start using the Pinhole/Zone Plate optic more...

Gear used: Olympus OM-D E-M5 + Lensbaby Composer Pro + Lensbaby Pinhole/Zone Plate Optic.
Nice moody shot.
