Don't Forget To Look Back

During a photography adventure a few years ago I had a photographer friend tell me, "Don't forget to look back." I've taken this advice to heart with photography and with life. For me, looking back not only reminds me of where I've been, what's important to me, and where I come from; but also how much I've grown as a person and as a photographer.

I snapped this image this morning with my iPhone as I only had my big lens with me on my "real" camera. I like how the mirror image almost looks like a painting. And yes, my review mirror was really that dirty. If I'd been planning better I would have cleaned it off before I took the photo... but then again, I think it adds some interest to the shot. Maybe more "perfect imperfection?"
I really like it! It does have a painterly look.

yes its quite often we get fixed on one perspective and could be missing a lot in another direction!

I like not only the painterly reflection of the road in the mirror but also the double reflection on the door that complements it nicely.
