I decided that I would see if my faithful old Olympus E410 could be fixed as I established that the shutter was failing to operate correctly. I searched the internet for someone who would take a look at it and found Luton Camera Repair Services Ltd who would take a look at it and quote for the cost of repair. If I didn't want to go ahead they would only charge the cost the postage to send it back.
It turned out to need a new gear case assembly and the total cost was £108.98 + the cost for me to send it to them. I hope it is worth it? Although it is a bit old hat I have a nice 70-300mm zuiko lens that is good for the wildlife stuff plus some old style 35mm lenses that are fun to play with manual focus and all that. Time will tell!
Well hope it comes back safe sound and mended for you!! It's nice to hang onto something that works for you and I think if it takes the shot you want then it's well worth the expense.
The blue tit is enjoying that fat ball, nice capture!
Oh, how very lovely! I've never seen a bird like this before, and it immediately caught my eye when I looked at the "latest" pictures uploaded to 365. After a quick browse through your recent images, I've decided that your pictures are ones I definitely want to look at each day. :-)
