This old farmhouse with its walled yard always makes me think of animal farm. They have a menagerie of animals that roam out into the paddock in front of the house.
this was taken on my Sony handheld and I must admit I have edited it in lightroom following some basic instructions that are in the Practical Photography magazine to create a single shot HDR effect.
Goodness me Rob this is amazing...I could never do this in LR....such detail. The whole photo has a picture book effect & the smoke is the piece de resistance! Fave.
@happypat thanks Pat. You could. There are only about 6 adjustments. The other thing was not taken in raw. So adjustments made to the jpg file. When I started this project I was not in favour of editing but now I have sold out. But it is fun!
@barrowlane I agree Rob I love a good edit!! I take mine in RAW but Jack has only shown me how to do basic editing on LR...in fact I seem to save it as jpeg & finish doing anything more adventurous in PickMonkey.
Wow, this is really impressive - is it a 'model farm'? We came across one in Cambridge that was called that in Victorian era as it was the 'model' for all farms in the area. The HDR is really effective.
Really wonderful scene.
I don't know how to do any of the things you speak of but you are spot on when you create the effect your looking for. This is beautiful!
