Lego Yeti enjoys a popsicle

I'm still playing with my macro extension tubes. The set comes with a small, medium, and a large. My nice Sigma lens doesn't seem to want to connect to the medium extension tube, and I'm not about to try and force it. This photo was taken with the shortest of the tubes, yesterday's was taken with the longest. I can also stack them if I want even more extension... maybe I'll play with that tomorrow.
Love your use of coloured lights with this. Your extension tubes are obviously good ones. I made the mistake of letting a salesman at a camera shop talk me into some generic extension tubes which are awful because I can't control the aperture or depth of field at all, so the focal plane is too narrow for most things!

@seacreature - My macro extension tubes weren't very expensive, but they do have the electrical connector pass-through, so the lens still gets power and works.

The very shallow depth of field is a side effect of any macro extension tube. I took this photo at F29 to make sure all of Lego Yeti was in focus. Yesterday's shot of the colored pencils was shot at F16, and there's still a pretty shallow depth of field.

Great play.

My teenager just looked at this one and said "I love how he is looking at it with such appreciation. It's as if the popsicle is about to save his life and he is very grateful." :)
