Yesterday's pile of parts is today's table saw. by batfish

Yesterday's pile of parts is today's table saw.

The styrofoam tray full of parts in yesterday's photo makes up the legs, wheels, and accessories for this table saw.

Is tool portraiture a thing? I've lit and styled this photo of my new table saw much like I've done the very few self portraits I've posted here.

I use flashes for portraits, but I lit this with LEDs, since the saw is quite good at sitting still for the longer exposure needed. It could use a little more fill on the right side, but I'm not re-shooting now, I'll just call it "Dark & Moody".
Dark and moody it is. Great shadows too.

Wow! Great lighting and styling. I'd say tool portraiture sure is a thing - another form of product photography

Works for me.... but where's the finger guard?

@vignouse - I took the guards off for the photo. They store on the side of the unit that is facing away from the camera. I do intend to re-install and use them. I also plan to make myself a cross-cut sled, which also does a very nice job of keeping your fingers away from blades.

Tool portraiture - I don't know, but there is now! Nice to see what it turned into.
